My Back to School Resolution

This year I am going to focus on my children. I am going to make sure they get enough sleep and enjoy their childhood. Yes, they will get their homework done and they will work on projects, assignments, deadlines and tests but I am not going to stress them out with things to do from the time they get home till they go to bed. We are going to make time for other things. We are going to make memories and a life. They will have enough pressure in their adult life so why not just let children be children? As a teacher myself, I always want my students to have a healthy balanced life. Some stress is good and some pushing is necessary but too much will negatively affect children in the long run and no thank you. I don't want that! Live every day to the fullest because you never know which one is going to be your last. I want my children to remember me as a kind and loving mother who pushed them as needed to achieve their full potential, who set rules and boundaries with consequences.... I don't want to be remembered as someone who only cared about their grades in school.
